Interview Summary
Fred Cowan (Ethiopia, 1967-1969; Education Program), whose legal and political career in Louisville and Kentucky culminated in his becoming a Circuit Judge, discusses issues of war and civil rights protests in the 1960s in the U.S. He describes his Peace Corps training in Utah and the political situation in Ethiopia, as well his teaching English there. He also talks about much later international experience in Germany, Israel, Namibia and Slovenia and reflects on why Peace Corps is good for our country.Interview Accession
