Interview Summary
Maxine Clay discusses growing up in Michigan and coming to Harlan County after marrying. She recalls how she became involved in the ceramic tile mural project while attending Robert Gipe's class at Southeast Community College. She talks about her work with young women in drug rehabilitation, and using ceramic mural work in their healing process, including a mural project in Lynch, Kentucky.Interview Accession
