Interview Summary
J.D. Willoughby, a farmer living on Cane Creek, begins the interview by giving an overview of his childhood home. Next, the various properties that Willoughby has either owned or lived on are discussed, along with a brief mentioning of his wife. Then, Willoughby describes his participation in World War II, as a member of the U.S. Army. The interviewee's time as a prisoner of war is also recalled. Additionally, Willougbhy's life after the war is chronicled. The types of farming he has done throughout the years are examined, as well as a listing of the infrastructural improvements brought to the Cane Creek area. After that, Willougbhy's present farming knowledge, children, family life, education, and religious tendencies are considered.
