Interview Summary

Virginia Kummer, Helen Brown, and Doris B. Finch tell stories of their childhoods growing up in Etowah, Tennessee. They describe what Etowah had to offer in terms of businesses, activities, and boys. Also, they discuss discrimination in their hometown as well as their families being forced to move to Louisville, Kentucky after their fathers lost their jobs. Then, they describe what it was like adjusting to a new living environment as well as how their families were affected by a natural disaster that overtook Louisville.
