The retired president of Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College in Bowling Green discussed his career in education, which included stints as a public school principal and administrator, and the presidencies of community colleges in Alabama, North Carolina, and Virginia; his working relationship with political figures, including Alabama Governor George C. Wallace; his decision to seek the presidency of then-Bowling Green Technical College; the challenges he faced as president, including accreditation and morale; the decision to change the college?s name to Southcentral Kentucky; his relationship with and personal feelings toward KCTCS President Dr. Michael B. McCall; and his life in retirement.
