Interview Summary

Stein recalls the beginning of his friendship with Robert Penn Warren at the University of Minnesota. A connection with Warren's contemporary, John Crowe Ransom is elaborated upon. Stein also analyzes both Warren's poetry and prose, documenting the literary influences upon the author. Warren's change in poetic style is also described. Lastly, Warren's personal life is discussed, as well as the author's legacy as a writer.
