Interview Summary

Jimmy Dan Conner discusses his time as a UK basketball player from his freshman season to his senior season and competing in the 1975 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championship. He describes being coached by both Adolph Rupp and Joe B. Hall and the differences in style of the two. He discusses different players that were on his teams, as well as how his teams were bonded. Conner discusses several pivotal games from his time at UK, detailing the 1975 NCAA tournament game by game, as well as describing a particularly eventful game against Indiana in 1974 in which Joe B. Hall and Bobby Knight had an altercation. He also discusses the impact of UK on his life and how UK basketball has changed since he left.
