Interview Summary
The Kelemans discuss what it is like to be Hungarian immigrants in Harlan County, Kentucky. They do not feel as if they have been discriminated against because of their ethnic background. Children of immigrants attended the same school as the children of native Harlan Countians. Only African Americans attended a separate school. Other topics discussed include coal mining, moonshine, and coal camp life.Interview Accession
