Interview Summary
Norman Theron Mitchell, born in Trigg County, Kentucky on July 14, 1932, served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mitchell enlisted into the Army in July 1950 and completed basic training at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was deployed overseas on the USS General W. M. Black and camped at the base of Mt. Fugiyama. In this interview Mitchell talks about being at Camp McGill, what life was like in Korea, and his interactions with civilians. Mitchell was discharged form the Army in July 1953.Interview Accession
