Interview Summary

Buddy Thompson, a native of Lexington, Kentucky, recalls his connection to Governor Happy Chandler through his involvement in getting a corrupt appointee of Chandler's fired. The story of Real Estate Commissioner H.D. Coleman, who lived and worked as a real estate agent in Lexington and his corrupt nature is described. Thompson's meeting with Chandler concerning Coleman's behavior is recalled. Thompson also details how he got Coleman fired from his position as Real Estate Commissioner.
