James F. Hardymon Oral History Project

Project Summary

This project focuses on James Hardymon, who served as the CEO of Textron from 1992-98. Hardymon reminisces about his childhood, family, and time at Maysville High School. He recalls his experiences in the engineering program at UK during the 1950s, his work as a civil engineer with the highway department, and his time of service in the U.S. Army. Hardymon also talks a great deal about his career, colleagues, and work-related travel.
