Interview Summary
In this interview we discuss Samara Davis's early childhood growing up in the greater LA area, her experiences and exposure to the arts scene through her mother, her family's history as entrepreneurs and attendees at historically black colleges and universities. We discuss her educational experiences in private schools in California and in higher education in Florida, and her early career in arts administration and working for a variety of health-related non-profits (American Diabetes Association), etc. We begin to discuss the formation of the Black Bourbon Society in 2016, and some of its early signature events.Interview Accession
