Interview Summary

Corinne Jefferson grew up in Claysville, an all-Black community in Bourbon County, Kentucky. In this interview she describes the community, the living conditions for the residents, and race relations in the area. She talks about her childhood chores, the foods her family ate, and the local church. She talks about life during World War II, and her participation in the civil rights movement.
