Interview Summary
Joe Thompson served as County Agent for Bath County from 1930 to 1967. Originally from Todd County, Mr. Thompson came to Bath County after serving as Assistant County Agent in Fayette and Harrison Counties. He encouraged the production of Kentucky's first county-wide soil map in 1952 which sought to identify the great variety of soils found in this area.Interview Accession
