Interview Summary

Finney begins the interview by discussing her home, her collection of photographs, and her upcoming move to Columbia, South Carolina. Then, a connection between a photograph in Finney's collection and an upcoming essay on poetry she is going to write is established. Following this, Finney talks about the process of connecting unrelated themes, as well as her grandmother. The concept of rural art being moved to the cities is also mentioned. Next, the interviewee describes her home in Lexington, Kentucky. Lastly, Finney highlights the writers community in Lexington (and in Kentucky in general) and her willingness to be identified with the contemporary offshoot of the Agrarian group of writers.
