Interview Summary
In this interview, Roy Silver, Sociologist at Southeast Kentucky Community And Technical College (SEKCTC), talks about how he became involved in Kentuckians For The Commonwealth (KFTC) through teaching, community organizing, and participatory action research in Harlan County, Kentucky. Active in KFTC from 1989 through 2014, Silver describes early experiences working on issues of water contamination and protecting land from strip mining.
