Interview Summary

Lyman T. Johnson discusses the necessity of prominently black or white institutions, as well as the prejudices that are tied to the institutions. Additionally, he ventures into his impressions and encounters that he had with Martin Luther King Jr. in Louisville, Kentucky. Johnson also talks about the impact that the social conditions and fight for civil rights have had on his mental health.
