Interview Summary
Brandon Joseph Rotondo, born and raised in Colonia New Jersey, hated school as a child, but because of passionate history teachers, he found an interest in education. Brandon bounced around serval schools before teaching history at St. Philips when the pandemic hit. He describes a turbulent first few months in the spring of 2020 teaching online before leaving to teach at his current institution, Shipley. He arrived in September of 2020 where he taught using the hybrid model, half in-person and half online. He describes the struggles of online education and the importance of in-person learning. He also discusses his teaching style of using a variety of mediums to engage his students and how he has his students discuss current events to make them critical thinkers.Interview Accession
