Interview Summary
Walter Bradley discusses his life growing up in Midway, Kentucky and attending Pilgrim Baptist Church. He provides a history of the church including the buildings it has inhabited, one of which he now owns, and the different activities the church has organized, including the church convention. He also talks about Midway Elementary School and what education was like for young Black children in Midway and Woodford County in the earlier half of the twentieth century. He goes on to discuss the different occupations that Black people in Midway had and describes his experiences as a member of Prince Hall Freemasonry in Kentucky, Lone Star 19. Finally, Bradley discusses his family life in Midway.Interview Accession
