Interview Summary

Ishmael, Jr. discusses the life of his father, James David Ishmael, Sr.. he was from Morehead, Kentucky and served in the U.S. Navy. Later, Ishmael, Sr. accepted a position at Lafayette High School (LHS) as Head Football Couch and became an administrator in the Lexington Public Schools in various positions. Ishmael, Jr. also discusses his life through boyhood, LHS, various colleges and the University of Louisville Law School as well as an appointment as Judge in Fayette County, Kentucky. He is currently retired and conducts Bible Study.
