Interview Summary
Isaac J. Darneal opens by briefly describing his family and personal history. He goes on to criticize people who protest, stating that he thinks there is a lot of selfishness. Darneal discusses Midway as his home and some of the civic duties and activism he and others did in the community, including getting a sewer system installed. Darneal says Midway started dying in 1946 after the war when the stockyard died. He briefly discusses his education growing up, which stopped before high school so he could help take care of his family. He discusses his religious beliefs. They discuss some thoughts and experiences with racism. He ends with some childhood experiences.Interview Accession
