Interview Summary
Schubert, at the date of the interview, lives in Austin, Texas but describes growing up in the Bronx, New York, and then attending Indiana University Bloomington, where she met her husband and got a degree in Music Education. She later got a Master's in Special Education also at Bloomington. She is a lifelong educator. She did not identify as politically active until she moved to Richmond, Kentucky and joined the League of Women Voters. During her time in the Richmond/Berea League of Women Voters she served as President, and she was also a representative for the State board. She was very committed to candidate forums in the height of her activity. The Richmond/Brerea chapter joined with the Lexington chapter. Schubert expressed fondness for naturalization ceremonies.Interview Accession
