Interview Summary
Carole Anne Reid served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Moldova from 2016 to 2018, and then in Eswatini from 2018 to 2020. Prior to Peace Corps, Anne was founder and Executive Director of Def Dance Jam Workshop in New York City. Anne’s pre-service training in language, culture, and technical training were conducted in training site Rusestii Noi. Her site assignment was in the Causeni Village working in the Community Economic Development sector. Anne also engaged in a variety of secondary projects. Anne then served in Eswatini from 2018 to 2020 when, near the end of her service, she and all 7,400 worldwide Peace Corps Volunteers evacuated due to the Covid 19 pandemic. For her dedicated service as an older volunteer, Anne was selected as the Peace Corps 2021 Lillian Carter award recipient. At the time of this recording, Anne worked as a recruiter for Peace Corps in the New York City regional office.Interview Accession
