Interview Summary
Matthew “Matt” Gearhart is a third-year student at West Chester University of Pennsylvania pursuing his bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science. Matt has excelled in academics insofar that he has graduated high school in the honors society and is an active member of West Chester University’s Honors program. The topics we cover include Matt’s educational experiences from his childhood through college amid the different adversities, personal or global, that shaped his response to academia. A few important turning points in Matt’s education include his experiences on the high school soccer team, the 2016 election and the opinions of an acquaintance during his transition into college, schooling amid the Covid-19 pandemic and social movements, and the lifestyle in the Honors College.Interview Accession
