Interview Summary

O'Reilly talks about growing up in Syracuse, New York, meeting her husband in college while attending St. Mary's in Notre Dame, Indiana, and her career as a special education teacher and educator. When they moved to Lexington for a job her husband was offered, Carol began attending school board meetings. After seeing a few regulars, she introduced herself, and realized they were observers from the League of Women Voters. During her time in the League of Women Voters of both Lexington and the State, O'Reilly served as President, Treasurer, Secretary, and sat on the Education committee.
