Interview Summary

This interview with audio engineer David Sarser begins with a discussion of his background in audio engineering. It then moves on to talk about the development of "The Musician's Amplifier," a specialty amplifier. Sarser then talks about his time in the Air Force. After the war, Sarser worked at National Broadcasting Company (NBC). Sarser then talks about recording for Arturo Toscanini and working with audio engineers from the point of view of the musician. He then moves on to talk about his partnership with Lyle "Skitch" Henderson and the creation of Studio 3, a recording studio. Sarser also talks about his education and his involvement in electronic music. The interview ends with a discussion of the Ampex Electric Corporation and his career after Studio 3.
