Born in Patton, Alabama, Mr. Wallace discusses his educational background and varied work experiences. He comments upon broadcasting African American high school athletics, radio stations WLAP and WLEX, and the establishment of the Bluegrass and Lexington Chronicles. He recalls the late Reverend W. A. Jones, Julia Lewis, and Ronald and Theodore Berry, as well as African American participation in politics, police surveillance, and "black pride". He comments the progress of the quality of life afforded African American citizens since 1954.
